Whitehaven Residential starts preparations even before you move in. We follow a strict rule of arranging a meeting with the sole intention of getting to know you and understand all your personal, health and social requirements. We believe in always acknowledging your wishes and expectations. Our team we create a written plan of care with the objective of providing your loved one with the highest standard of care, in order to devise this plan, we will work closely with the individual, relatives and friends. The plan will outline the key purposes for the individuals care, and how we expect to accomplish them. It may also include any necessary risk assessment.
A review of the care plan is carried out at least once a month and a daily report taken for each individual. By doing this helps to set out changes that may have occurred or need to occur in the future. Your loved one will always have access to their care plan and are advised to assist in the care planning process.
Whitehaven Residential provides minimum assistance to 24/7 care, whilst reassuring continued independence for each resident as much as possible. We encourage our residents to personalise their room, using pictures and often some furnishings from their home. This level of care allows for independent living, with additional support. Many of our residents choose Whitehaven because of the atmosphere, companionship and security.
